Melbourne was a blast, the wedding was very nice and I now have a bird skull to commemorate the occasion (I'll explain later). I-95 and the Beachline keep opening and closing because of the wildfire, so we took a nice, scenic alternate route both ways without much incident (sometimes we could smell the pungent odor of burnt wood, even at our hotel

I confess, I'd never seen David Lynch's Eraserhead before. So when I learned that the Salvador Dali Museum was showing it tonight, I jumped at the chance to see what all the fuss was. I'd seen Twin Peaks. I know about the influences behind Silent Hill. How strange could this be?

One of the things I had been looking for since moving to Florida was a good, indy record store so I wouldn't have to be limited to buying all my dorky music on-line. This was not difficult when I lived on the liberal art streets of Richmond. In fact, probably one of the best indy stores in the country was about two miles from my old apartment. I
